CE marking is a declaration by the manufacturer that the product meets all the appropriate provisions of the relevant legislation implementing certain European Directives. CE marking gives companies easier access into the European market to sell their products without adaptation or rechecking. The initials "CE" do not stand for any specific words but are a declaration by the manufacturer that his product meets the requirements of the applicable European Directive(s).

The CE Mark is a requirement for nearly all products sold in the European Union and associated states. The CE Mark is the assurance that a product complies with the health and safety requirements mandated by European legislation (Directives).  Once the laboratory tests confirm that the product meets European requirements the CE Mark may be affixed on your product and it can then be sold throughout the European Union countries.

European Directives become effective at different dates and may have amendments.  Phoenics Corp. maintains current knowledge of these directives and amendments to insure our testing is performed in full compliance with the requirements.

Phoenics Corp. has provided this service to several U.S. companies.  Our service is quick, normally less than 30 days. On at least one occasion, Phoenics completed the process, on an urgent basis, in two weeks.  Our services also includes registration with the appropriate Ministry of an EU Member state (Italy), when necessary.  Furthermore, for each tested product, Phoenics provides the services of the required "Authorized Representative" gratis on an unlimited time basis. These services are often add-ons provided at an extra cost by many of our competitors.  Additionally, as an engineering based company, Phoenics has performed often trivial design changes "on the fly", as the product is being tested.  This ensures a successful test without incurring the substantial additional cost of a retest after a return of the product to the manufacturer for modification.  We provide our clients with documentation of the change which can then be incorporated in the future production.  To date, we have never charged a Customer for this service.

We perform CE-Mark testing on our own products in the normal course of business.  We can therefore provide this service to Customers professionally, quickly and at a very competitive price.
