Radio-frequency identification (RFID),  is a technology that incorporates the use of electromagnetic or electrostatic coupling in the radio frequency portion of the electromagnetic spectrum.  The technology is used to identify and localize virtually anything.  Usually utilized for asset tracking, RFID can also be used to localize and identify people and/or animals.

Phoenics Corp., with its partner Aucom S.R.L., has applied RFID technology to a variety of enterprise areas.  Applications include, but are not limited to, museum and archeological sites, mines asset tracking and safety, manufacturing, port operations, large scale retail, warehousing, general logistics and medical facilities.

Active RFID is a relatively new method to achieve automatic identification and localization.  Ultra wideband technology represents the best in precision, responsiveness, reliability and scalability. Ubisense, our preferred supplier, is the leader in ultra wideband technology.

As a new technology, potential users may have questions that can only be answered by participating in a live demonstration.  Mega-retailers, mining operations, manufacturing plants, museums, hospitals, automobile transport companies and all enterprises with valuable assets benefit from knowing exactly where their assets are at all times.
